LJG - the Person

I was born at Shepard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas in 1954, the oldest of four children. I have a brother and two sisters. My brother Steve is a research machinist and computer guru for Los Alamos Laboratory in New Mexico, my sister Pam is a RN in Las Cruces, NM and my sister Chris owns and manages a business in Florida.

I am married to Elizabeth (Buzzy) Arnold Guillette. Buzzy is a cultural/medical anthropologist and currently is an Assoc. Scientist with the Department of Anthropology at the University of Florida. She has done some amazing and innovative work with children's health, especially in the field of health and pesticides. Her work has been featured in an hour-long documentary which aired in Canada on the 'Nature of Things' and on the Discovery channel. We have four children -two sons and two daughters. Kaiya is a mom in NJ, Tammy a mom and biologist (gene therapy) in Gainesville, John an archeologist in CA and Matt a student in FL.

I enjoy a number of activities such as Mt. biking (my bike!), scuba diving with my son Matt, reading, traveling and hiking.
