Description
The Zoology Graduate Student Association (ZGSA) is an organization that represents the needs and concerns of zoology graduate students. All graduate students in zoology are members. Officers, representatives, and committees are nominated and elected solely by the graduate students. ZGSA officers are responsible for steering the organization. Meetings are held on a regular basis to discuss relevant issues and encourage communication of ideas. Representatives facilitate communication within the department by serving on most faculty committees, including search committees for new hires. ZGSA committees organize many departmental activities-such as a graduate student invited speaker each semester, an annual picnic, graduate student retreat, and seminars. For further information about ZGSA, please follow the links to your right.
The success of ZGSA comes from the participation and hard work from graduates students and the faculty's willingness to involve graduate students.
